Korean Air provides flexible ticket cancellation and refund options depending on
the fare type, travel route, and reason for cancellation. Reservations can be
canceled through the Korean Air website, mobile app, customer service center, or
the travel agency where the ticket was purchased.
Refund eligibility is determined by the fare rules. Refundable tickets may be
canceled with minimal or no penalty, while non-refundable tickets may only
qualify for a refund of applicable government taxes and fees. In certain
situations such as medical emergencies or government-imposed travel
restrictions Korean Air may offer travel credits or partial refunds in
accordance with policy.
For tickets purchased directly from Korean Air, refund requests can be submitted
via the “My Trips” section on the airline’s website. Refunds are typically
processed within 7–20 business days, depending on the original form of payment.
Tickets purchased through travel agencies must be refunded through the issuing
agency.
If a flight is canceled or significantly changed by Korean Air, passengers are
generally entitled to a full refund or complimentary rebooking.
Korean Air may also provide a 24-hour risk-free cancellation period for eligible
bookings, allowing passengers to cancel within 24 hours of purchase for a full
refund.
Passengers are advised to review their ticket’s fare conditions before canceling
and contact Korean Air
customer service team for the most
up-to-date information.
