Daegu International Airport (TAE) serves as the main air gateway to Daegu and the surrounding Gyeongsangbuk-do region in southeastern South Korea. Located approximately 6 kilometers northeast of Daegu city center, the airport provides convenient access for both domestic and international travelers.

Originally opened in 1937 and later expanded for civil aviation, the airport operates a shared facility with a military airbase. Despite its relatively compact size, it plays an important role in regional connectivity and tourism.

The airport primarily serves domestic routes and short-haul international destinations across East and Southeast Asia. Low-cost carriers operate a large portion of flights, making the airport popular among budget travelers.

The passenger terminal is easy to navigate and designed for efficient processing. Facilities include restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, car rental counters, passenger lounges, and transportation services.

Due to its manageable size and shorter walking distances, Daegu International Airport offers a smooth travel experience compared with larger airports in Korea. The airport continues to expand international connectivity in response to growing demand from both leisure and business travelers visiting Daegu and nearby cities.
