Baggage

Baggage rules at Korean airports depend on airline policies and whether a
passenger is traveling domestically or internationally. Travelers should always
confirm baggage allowances with their airline before departure.
Carry-on baggage must meet airline size and weight restrictions and pass airport
security screening. Liquids carried in cabin baggage on international flights
must follow aviation security regulations, usually limited to small containers
placed in a transparent bag.
Checked baggage is accepted at airline check-in counters. Each bag is tagged
with a destination label and transported through the airport’s baggage handling
system. Oversized or special items such as sports equipment or musical
instruments may require separate handling.
Baggage carts are available in terminal buildings for passenger convenience. If
baggage is delayed or damaged, travelers should report the issue immediately at
the airline’s baggage service counter in the arrivals area.
Lost baggage claims are processed by the airline, not the airport authority.
Keeping baggage claim tags until leaving the airport is recommended.
