Passengers who misplace personal belongings while travelling on Eastar Jet
through Korea Airports should report the loss as soon as possible. The procedure
depends on where the item was lost, as responsibility differs between the
airline and the airport authority.
Items Left on Board the Aircraft
Personal belongings left inside the aircraft after arrival are collected by the
cabin crew during post-flight inspections. The recovered items are transferred
to Eastar Jet or its appointed ground handling agent for registration and
safekeeping.
Passengers who believe an item was left onboard should contact Eastar Jet
immediately and provide the flight number, travel date, arrival airport, seat
number, and a detailed description of the missing property. Accurate information
assists staff in identifying the item more efficiently.
Items Lost Inside the Airport Terminal
Items misplaced in terminal facilities, including check-in halls, security
screening areas, boarding gates, immigration zones, arrival halls, restaurants,
or public waiting areas, are managed by the Lost and Found office of the
respective Korea Airport rather than Eastar Jet.
Passengers should contact the airport where the loss occurred and provide
details of the item together with the approximate location and time it was last
seen.
Delayed or Missing Checked Baggage
Passengers who cannot locate checked baggage after arriving at Korea Airports
must report the matter before leaving the baggage reclaim area. A Property
Irregularity Report (PIR) is prepared by the baggage service office to begin the
tracing process.
Baggage tag receipts, boarding passes, and identification documents are required
when submitting the report.
Damaged Baggage
Passengers discovering damage to checked baggage should notify the baggage
service counter immediately after collecting their luggage. Airport staff
inspect the baggage and record the damage for assessment under the airline's
baggage policy.
Collection of Recovered Property
Recovered items are released only after ownership has been verified. Passengers
are required to present valid identification together with supporting
information confirming ownership. Collection procedures and storage periods vary
depending on the airport where the item was recovered.
If you require additional assistance, it's best to contact Eastar Jet's
customer service team for further information.
